Terms of Service

SignCheck Limited · Last updated 19 July 2026

These terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of SignCheck, an installation-evidence platform operated by SignCheck Limited, a company registered in England and Wales ("SignCheck", "we", "us"). By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

The service

SignCheck lets UK signage businesses capture installation evidence — photos, notes, voice notes, e-signatures and job details — and turn it into branded completion packs and compliance records. The service is provided for business use only and is not intended for consumers. We may add, change or remove features over time to improve the product.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for the accounts, login codes and access you or your managers create, and for the activity that happens under them. Keep your credentials secure and let us know promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. You are responsible for the members of your team and any subcontractors you invite to use the service under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no uploading content you have no right to share, no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the platform, and no using it to store evidence you know to be false or misleading. We may suspend access where use of the service risks harm to other customers, to third parties, or to the service itself.

Your content

You keep ownership of the job evidence and other content you put into SignCheck. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display that content in order to run the service for you — for example building completion packs and sharing them with the parties to a job. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you provide.

Fees, trials and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on the cycle shown at sign-up, and renew automatically until cancelled. If you add a payment method during a free trial, the trial rolls into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first; if you add no payment method, the account simply pauses at the end of the trial and nothing is charged. Fees are stated exclusive of VAT unless we say otherwise. Except where the law requires it, fees already paid are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and your plan will run to the end of the current billing period.

Third-party services

SignCheck relies on third parties to deliver parts of the service, including Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Meta (WhatsApp messaging) and an automated speech-to-text provider (voice-note transcription). Your use of features that depend on these providers may also be subject to their own terms — for example Meta's terms apply to messages you send over WhatsApp.

Compliance records — no legal advice

SignCheck helps you produce and organise installation evidence, and maps it to UK construction standards such as CDM 2015. It is a tool to help you keep records; it is not legal, health-and-safety or regulatory advice, and it does not by itself guarantee compliance with any law or standard. Responsibility for meeting your legal and regulatory obligations remains with you.

Our intellectual property

The SignCheck platform, software, branding and documentation are owned by SignCheck Limited or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the service while your subscription is active.

Availability and warranties

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose beyond what is described. We may carry out maintenance and occasionally need to take the service offline.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of evidence that is critical to your business.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, or where we are required to by law. On termination your right to use the service ends; we will handle any personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, and you should export any evidence you wish to keep beforehand.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and the "last updated" date below will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
